We have a strong research ethos within the department
of Critical Care at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh,
and as a result the Edinburgh Critical Care Research
Group (ECCRG) has developed.
Led by Professor Tim Walsh, we are a multi-professional group of researchers committed to improving patient care through challenging, developing and evaluating evidence-based practice.
Due to launch June/July 2008.

Happily ensconced on
bohemian Broughton Street since 1986.
Facing the street itself is a light, airy cafe, - the sort of place where you could (and many do) relax and read the papers for an afternoon.
Launched 1st May 2007

Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Critical Care
/February/2002 Filed in: Organisation
This was
one of my first web sites. It was built for the
intensive care unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary way
back in 2002. Originally meant as an educational
resource for staff, it soon grew into a Critical Care
site, incorporating high dependency as well as
intensive care. Today it goes from strength to
strength with content such as, recruitment pages,
teaching, information for patients and families,
journal clubs etc.
